Daniel's poem

NOTE: THIS WAS WRITTTEN IN FIFTEEN MINUTES FOR A FACEBOOK STATUS!!!!!

I have gone out for the day and lost my mind if you look around for it you may find; some marbles shining in the gutter and moldy chocolate that makes me shudder, a happy meal a few fries short and a ship that just barely made port. my mind is strewn all over the place and if you could find it you'd help me save face. my mind is complicated as you may see but it all makes perfect sense to me >.>

laugh dammit >.<

i'm just gonna write here about all my little fears i'm not really a poet but you wouldn't know it so just sit back and relax while i freefax . . . . yup i couldn't rhyme that >.>

a small boy sits alone 'fraid just to talk
in a class where his lessons are in chalk
and in brutality and hate
he fights just to state
his opinions they're great
but he's told just to wait

his mom picks him up takes him home sets him down
he sits on the floor with no complaints just a frown
while "mommy" goes in back with his dad
he knows it by now somethings wrong he's been bad
he stands and he runs through the door in the back
and he cries as his dad hits his mom with a smack

his life as he knows this is not 'posed to be
but it burns and he learns almost immediately
his dad hates his mom and his mom wants him dead
he cries as he hides under here 'neath his bed
his teddy bear clenched in his fist
as his dad pulls him out and gives him a kiss

he knows what had happened but makes no complaints
just hugs back and he runs and he plays and he waits
but mom stays inside in her room so it seems
but his dad scoops him up as the phone starts to ring
he rushes out the door and he stops in his tracks
a man talking loudly tells him not to attack

loud noises are heard
and he screams 'til a word
meets his ears
and he cheers
and he runs back inside
to his mom over head by his side

reaching down she picks him up and says
"there there don't you cry"
his dad walks to them and he smiles
and he hugs them both with a sigh
the kid just sobs in his mothers arms
still in fear of what might happen when his dad goes to bars

Anyway so i am going to try to redo a poem i wrote for 9-11 if i can remember it

The Ninth Gate

A child screams on his mother's lap
all she thought was he needs a nap
the attendant passes silently
the mother asks excuse me, but
i need a blanket if you have any
I'm sorry miss we don't have many

she continues walking and hesitates
the closes the curtains like a gate
she talks quietly but she knows it's true
she says this may be the end for me and you
a stewardess shifts uncomfortably, and
in time she seems to see the lady

her child screams louder and louder it seems
as the stewardess falls apart at the seams
the woman stands and she walks towards the bathroom
but the steward says they should be landing soon
as the plane jerks suddenly
the baby's smile is almost heavenly

a crash and a wrenching of metal is heard
and people on the ground seem just to have no more words
it's a horrible sight from the ground to that height
and they watch the workers rush out as the plight
of their work becomes evident now
The Ninth Gate what a mistake but it's too late now
